How To Create A New Document

To create a new document on any knowledge system, please use the following steps.

  1. Use the 'add a new technology document' from the side panel. The name for the new document should follow the format 'place-knowledge system' (e.g. dwarka-pitched-roof). After you fill the new name for the document page in this format, click on 'create'.
  2. You will be led to a new page, you should edit the name of the document on this screen as you want its title to read and then save it.
  3. Next step will be to click on the 'edit this page' on the top menu bar and choose 'edit (sections)'.
  4. Now you will see 'edit' buttons on right side of each section of the document template. You can click on 'edit' to add or modify the content. Any default syntax in the edit box should be left as it is. You can add the content from the next line.
  5. You should use appropriate tools to define the headings, to make text bold or italics, to provide any link to page or URL.
  6. You should definitely add 'page tags' from the top menu by selecting 'other tools'. In 'page tags', do not forget to include name of the region, type of building element, main material used. If page tags are not added, your page may not show up in list of technology documentation.
  7. After you add or modify the content, click on 'save'.
